In a show of ol’ fashioned scene unity, hardcore heavyweights Sick Of It All (below, right), Cro-Mags, Murphy’s Law (below, center), and Mr. Jamey Jasta himself (below, left) came out to play a benefit for Dr. Tom, a.k.a. Dr. Thomaso Skorupski, M.D., to help him with medical bills from multiple surgeries. In addition to being a hardcore singer-drummer, the good doctor is also an addiction psychiatrist and pain management specialist who has helped countless uninsured denizens of the NYHC scene with free medical care over the years. The bands crushed Studio B and were overjoyed to snag free issues of Revolver (right, Cro-Mags singer John Joseph was so excited he couldn’t keep his shirt on), the favorite ’zine of true hardcore fans everywhere…right?

The Black Dahlia Murder hopped in a Mystery Mobile to this horror con to play with headliners Children of Bodom, GWAR, and, uh, the Insane Clown Posse. Below from left, bassist Ryan Williams looks dandy in his red handkerchief, singer Trevor Strnad spent the evening begging for a “Dahlia snack,” and axman Brian Eshbach was seen on hands and knees searching for his glasses.
